Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform adult and pediatric echocardiography across hospital and clinic settings. You will rotate call shifts, perform congenital and pediatric echoes, and contribute to outreach sites as needed.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology, at least 1 year in adult echocardiography, and RDCS AE certification; RDCS PE registry or equivalent within a year.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience working independently in adult echocardiography is required.
• RDCS AE certification is required.
• RDCS PE registry certified or must be obtained within 12 months of training with ARDMS or CCI is required.
• If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board is required.

Responsibilities

• Take call at the hospital on a rotational basis including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Rotate between clinic and hospital to perform echocardiography on congenital adult and pediatric patients.
• Perform echoes at the pediatric echo clinic.
• Coordinate vacation requests through supervisor; approvals may vary.
• Receive training into fetal echo with a year to complete after training begins.
• Split duties at the pediatric clinic with other staff.
• May travel to outreach sites as needed.
• May have other duties to support the team and department.
