Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography on pediatric patients at the Burnet Campus. You will prepare patients, execute comprehensive echocardiograms including 3D and strain imaging, and deliver preliminary results to the Echocardiography Faculty for final interpretation.

The role requires ARDMS certification during employment, an Associate’s Degree in a related field, and ideally 1+ years of Cardiac Sonography experience with pediatric

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; ARDMS certification during employment
• 0+ years of related work experience
• Preferred: 1+ years of Cardiac Sonography experience
• Preferred: pediatric experience

Responsibilities

• Perform Cardiac Ultrasound Exams: prepare patients/parents, perform echocardiogram including M-MODE, 2D Doppler, Color Flow Mapping, 3D and strain
• Report and analyze exam results: provide verbal report to Echocardiography Faculty, prepare preliminary written report, review with Echocardiac Laboratory Faculty
• Equipment: maintain equipment by cleaning scan heads and EKG lead wires per infection control guidelines
• Teamwork: share knowledge, provide technical support, on-call for Neonatal External Intensive Care Units, assist with training of fellows/visitors
• Research: participate in clinical research, measure/analyze echocardiographic data, prepare/present findings at meetings/publications
