Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Hospital Heart Institute in Miami, FL, is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to join a 34-bed CICU with 24-hour coverage. You will collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and intensivists to deliver cutting-edge care to children with congenital and acquired heart disease.

Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent from an accredited medical school.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (3 years) with subspecialty training.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care or Dual Fellowship in Cardiology and Critical Care.
• Unrestricted medical license and ABMS board certification in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care for pediatric patients with congenital or acquired cardiovascular disease in the CICU.
• Perform evaluations, diagnostics, and treatment planning including mechanical circulatory support.
• Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists, surgeons, and intensivists to optimize outcomes.
• Supervise APPs, fellows, residents, and trainees in the CICU.
• Participate in and contribute to research initiatives in pediatric cardiac critical care.
• Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives to enhance outcomes.
• Support mission, vision, and strategic direction of Nicklaus Children's Heart Institute.
• Foster collaboration, innovation, and excellence in cardiac critical care delivery.
