Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Heart Institute in Miami, FL seeks a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to join a 34-bed CICU providing 24-hour coverage for children with congenital and acquired heart disease. You will work with cardiologists, surgeons, and intensivists to deliver state-of-the-art critical care in a world-class environment.

The role requires pediatric cardiology or critical care fellowship training, a Florida medical license, and a commitment to clinical excellence, education, and research.

Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent from an accredited medical school.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (three years).
• One year of Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care fellowship OR Dual Fellowship in Cardiology and Critical Care.
• Unrestricted Florida medical license eligibility and ABMS Board Certification in Pediatric Cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based critical care for pediatric cardiac patients in the CICU.
• Lead diagnostic evaluations, perioperative management, and mechanical circulatory support.
• Collaborate with cardiology, surgery, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Supervise APPs, fellows, residents in the CICU.
• Contribute to research initiatives in pediatric cardiac critical care.
