Job summary

Flying Horse Farms seeks a Nursing Director to lead year-round nursing and clinical operations at our Mount Gilead, Ohio campus. You will supervise the WellNest facility, seasonal and volunteer medical teams, and collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure camper safety and exceptional care.

The role requires a BSN with 5+ years in pediatric nursing, an Ohio RN license, on-site residency during summer sessions, and strong leadership and communication skills to partner across the Camp

Qualifications

• BSN in Nursing with at least five years of experience.
• Pediatric nursing experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading people, teams, or clinical operations.
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact License.
• Valid driver's license.
• BLS for healthcare professionals; PALS preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, organization, and operational management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate, and build trusted relationships across teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online communication tools.
• Ability to reside on-site during summer and weekend camp sessions is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead year-round nursing and clinical operations.
• Oversee the WellNest medical facility and clinical readiness.
• Supervise the Nursing Coordinator, seasonal nursing staff, and volunteer nurses.
• Recruit, train, and support seasonal and volunteer medical teams.
• Partner closely with the Medical Director and Camp Operations Team.
• Build trusted relationships with campers, families, volunteers, and healthcare partners.
• Help ensure every camp session is safe, prepared, and unforgettable for the children we serve.
