Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of nursing operations.
• Lead cross-department partnerships to support camp readiness, quality, safety and experience.
• Supervise the Nursing Coordinator and collaborate with the Medical Director.
• Ensure readiness of WellNest medical facility including inventory of medications, equipment, and supplies.
• Recruit, interview, screen, and train volunteer and seasonal nursing staff.
• Medically screen campers and participate in camper placement processes.
• Collaborate with Camp Operations to prepare for medical adaptations to support camper success.
• Communicate with families on camper status and gathering medical information.
• Update, maintain and assure accuracy of medical information in the camper/staff computer database.
• Prepare and distribute medical equipment and supplies throughout camp and perform equipment checks.
• Build relationships with hospital partners and clinicians and present on camp medical topics.
