The Child Health Research Center at Penn State University seeks a Biostatistician to act as a trusted statistical partner across an interdisciplinary team, shaping study designs, data management, and advanced analyses. The role emphasizes clear communication and methodological leadership within pediatric research.

You will mentor researchers, co-author grants and manuscripts, and develop reproducible workflows using R, SAS, and REDCap, contributing to high-quality publications and impactful

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders with varying levels of statistical expertise.
• Proficiency in analyzing large and complex datasets using advanced statistical techniques.
• Experience designing and implementing data collection protocols and managing datasets for analysis and reporting.
• Experience mentoring students, trainees, or junior team members in statistical methods and research design.

Responsibilities

• Consult on study design, statistical analysis strategies, reliability, data collection procedures, sample size, and randomization schemes.
• Oversee design, development, and coordination of study forms, instruments, and measurement protocols.
• Perform analyses using regression, mixed-effects, and longitudinal models; translate findings into insights for research and policy.
