Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Therapeutic Tech to provide one-on-one support and structure to children aged 3–6 during emergency assessment and crisis screening. You will work as part of a dynamic behavioral health team at Jersey City Medical Center, ensuring a calm, supportive environment.

The role involves supervising groups, documenting interactions, and participating in trainings while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, with a concentration in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Prior experience working with youth preferred, particularly children ages 3–6 years.
• Interest in behavioral health and working with children experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-on-one attention, encouragement, and support to children undergoing assessment and crisis screening.
• Supporting children as they navigate behavioral health symptoms in a safe, structured environment.
• Supervising children during therapeutic groups onsite and during offsite field trips.
