Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to support the Behavioral Assessment Response Team (BART).

The role involves direct patient care for pediatric behavioral health patients, education of patients and families, and collaboration with interprofessional teams. Position is full-time (36 hours/week) with 12-hour shifts (7am–7:30pm), daytime schedule, weekend rotation, and CPI-trained preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of Behavioral Health RN experience.
• RN license required.
• Nursing Diploma/Associate's or higher.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on illness management and post-treatment care.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents plans of care with defined goals with the care team.
• Communicates the plan of care across the continuum of care and assesses patient needs.
