Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado seeks a Behavioral Health Clinician Non-Licensed to provide direct patient care for children, adolescents and families across outpatient, inpatient or ED settings, supporting the Partial Hospitalization Program.

The role emphasizes assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe discharge and continuity of care. Licensure track (LPC/LCSW) must be pursued within 3 years of hire, with BLS required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, social work or related field.
• Basic Life Support.
• Eligibility for Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to be earned within 3 years of hire;
• Must be licensed with DORA as a Clinical Social Worker Candidate (SWC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of an identified licensed Behavioral Health Clinician, provides direct patient care and management of children/adolescents by developing and implementing treatment and intervention plans.
• Provides crisis intervention to families and supports discharge to home and stabilization; builds a therapeutic relationship.
• Completes diagnostic behavioral health assessments and compiles data with reports complying with state and federal standards.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to identify, implement, and monitor treatment goals; presents case discussions.
• Coordinates admissions to programs and initiatives, and participates in educational and therapeutic groups.
