Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking a dedicated professional to support therapy teams for young children under BCBA supervision.

The role focuses on collaborative work with therapists and educators, training families, and ensuring a clean, organized, and confidential environment per HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English
• Entry level competency of behavior analytic practice with young children

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physical, occupational, speech-language, and music therapists, and with educators and BCBA to support goals
• Works with leadership team and social worker on child and family needs and accessing resources
• Trains and educates students, interns, and family members
• Maintains a clean and hygienic environment and organizes daily data on programs
• Builds professional relationships with co-workers and respects each discipline's expertise
• Provides direct therapy under supervision to develop cognitive, language, self-help, social and motor skills

Job Description:

$5,000 SIGN ON BONUS

Collaborates with physical, occupational, speech-language, and music therapists, as well as early childhood special educators and BCBA. Works with leadership team and social worker on individual child and family needs and accessing community resources. Trains and educates students, interns, volunteers, and patient’s family members. Supports staff by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. Organizes data and individual children’s programs daily. Maintains organization in the classroom and other areas. Builds professional relationships with co-workers by being considerate of workloads and assisting with duties. Communicates honestly and addresses issues and problems privately. Respects each discipline’s expertise and knowledge without questioning it in front of the patient/family. Provides direct therapy under the supervision of the BCBA to assist children in developing cognitive, language, self-help, social, and motor skills. Punctual with returning phone calls and emails, and for scheduled work hours, meetings, and patient treatment. Utilizes computer access confidentially and appropriately, following HIPAA guidelines, including appropriate use of social media. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Work Experience:

• 1+ years of position-related experience [Required]

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) [Preferred]
• NonViolent Crisis Intervention Program [Preferred]
