Job summary

AdventHealth in Kansas is seeking staff to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and educators to support individualized child and family needs. The role includes training students and families, maintaining clean environments, and organizing daily programs while safeguarding privacy under HIPAA guidelines.

Direct therapy is provided under supervisor guidance to help develop cognitive, language, self-help, social, and motor skills.

Qualifications

  • Must have basic computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
  • Entry level competency in behavior analytic practice with young children.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Collaborates with physical, occupational, speech-language, and music therapists, as well as early childhood special educators and BCBA. Works with leadership team and social worker on individual child and family needs and accessing community resources. Trains and educates students, interns, volunteers, and patient’s family members. Supports staff by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. Organizes data and individual children’s programs daily. Maintains organization in the classroom and other areas. Builds professional relationships with co-workers by being considerate of workloads and assisting with duties. Communicates honestly and addresses issues and problems privately. Respects each discipline’s expertise and knowledge without questioning it in front of the patient/family. Provides direct therapy under the supervision of the BCBA to assist children in developing cognitive, language, self-help, social, and motor skills. Punctual with returning phone calls and emails, and for scheduled work hours, meetings, and patient treatment. Utilizes computer access confidentially and appropriately, following HIPAA guidelines, including appropriate use of social media. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

  • Bachelor's [Required]
Work Experience
  • 1+ years of position-related experience [Required]
