Job summary

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) seeks a Clinical Assistant to support pediatric patients through therapeutic play, structured learning, and daily program activities. You will assist with behavioral skills training and transportation of children using a minibus, under supervision.

Under guidance of clinical staff, you’ll help implement treatment plans, perform assessments, and maintain safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• At least 1 year experience with children who have special health care or behavioral needs is preferred.
• CDL and CDL with Passenger Endorsement due within 6 months.
• Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom team in implementing each child's individualized treatment plan using structured interventions.
• Integrate treatment goals into group and individual program activities.
• Assist with behavioral, emotional, and social assessments and contribute to treatment planning.
• Provide educational and therapeutic activities that promote adaptive functioning.
• Supervise children to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Use approved non-violent crisis intervention strategies; apply physical intervention only as a last resort and under supervision.
• Document clinical information, data, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate behavioral concerns and updates to the clinical team and families as appropriate.
• Provide safe transportation for children, including driving a minibus and supervising patients during transport.
