Job summary

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a Clinical Assistant to support a therapeutic classroom environment for children with special health care or behavioral needs. You will implement structured interventions and help with daily program activities under supervision.

The role includes transporting children by minibus, coordinating with the clinical team, and assisting with clerical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree - Required.
• Experience with children with special health care or behavioral needs - Preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and ability to work with children in groups.
• Familiar with computers and basic software.

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom team in implementing each child’s individualized treatment plan with structured interventions.
• Integrate treatment goals into group and individual activities.
• Assist with behavioral, emotional, and social assessments and contribute to treatment planning.
• Provide educational and therapeutic activities to promote adaptive functioning.
• Supervise children to ensure a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
• Document clinical information, data, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide safe transportation for children, including driving a minibus and supervising during transport.
