A-Line Staffing Solutions is hiring a Certified Child Life Assistant in Houston, TX for weekend, on-site hours. The role supports Kim's Place, helping create a positive environment for pediatric/AYA patients with bedside play and engagement.

Requires at least 1 year of pediatric or youth programming experience, strong communication, and CPR or BLS certification prior to starting. High school diploma required; an Associate degree in related fields preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with children, adolescents or young adults in childcare, education, youth programming, recreation or pediatric support roles.
• Strong communication skills; comfortable bedside play/support in pediatric healthcare.
• CPR or BLS certification required before starting.
• High School Diploma required; an Associate degree in related fields preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assists with delivery of diversion, recreation and education materials to patients and families.
• Provides additional staff coverage at special events and activities.
• Provides individual bedside activities and outreach to patients on inpatient and outpatient units.
• Plan and execute patient programming and events.
• Provide bedside play and engagement for patients unable to leave their rooms.
• Support patients with varying needs using creativity, patience, and adaptability.
