Responsibilities

• Provides additional staff coverage at special events and activities.
• Provides individual bedside activities and outreach to patients on inpatient and outpatient units.
• Plan and execute patient programming and events.
• Provide bedside play and engagement for patients unable to leave their rooms.
• Support patients with varying needs using creativity, patience, and adaptability.

Pay Rate: $23/hr paid bi-weekly

Interview: Virtual interview

Part-Time: Sat & Sun 9:00am-7:30pm (Part-time / 20 hrs)

About the Role

This role supports Kim's Place (Adolescent and Young Adult Lounge) by helping create a positive, engaging experience for pediatric/AYA patients. You'll help supervise activity spaces, support patient programming, and provide bedside play/engagement for patients who can't leave their rooms.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with delivery of diversion, recreation and education materials to patients and families.
• Provides additional staff coverage at special events and activities.
• Provides individual bedside activities and outreach to patients on the inpatient and outpatient units.

Candidate Background

Required: At least 1 year of experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults through: or Childcare or Education or Youth Programming or Recreation or Pediatric support roles.

Strong communication skills. Comfortable providing bedside play/support in a pediatric healthcare environment.

Required: CPR or BLS is needed before starting. Required: High School Diploma. Preferred: Associates degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or a related field.
