Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited university.
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Florida licensure is required.
• Florida Driver’s License within 30 days from hire and daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide health assessments for well children, including physical exams and developmental screening.
• Review child abuse reports to determine medical review eligibility.
• Perform medical examinations and obtain histories as described by the Child Sexual Abuse Guidelines.
• Diagnose diseases and infections relevant to child sexual abuse and refer children for treatment.
• Prescribe medications according to established protocol.
• Counsel patients and families on preventative care and medication usage.
• Respond to legal authorities and provide depositions/testimony as needed.
• Review medical records of referred children and assess evidence of abuse.
• Provide one-on-one consultation with program staff as needed.
• Participate in weekly CPT meetings.
• Attend bi-annual Department of Health trainings for continuing education.
