Job summary

UVA Health Children’s is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to split time between pediatric rheumatology and the Pediatric Infusion Center. The role combines ambulatory care with infusion support across multiple pediatric specialties, four half-day rheumatology sessions, and infusion center coverage.

Ideal candidates have pediatric rheumatology or infusion experience or a strong interest in pediatric chronic care, with new graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master’s degree.
• Virginia license or license eligible as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) and BLS; ACLS/PALS as required.
• Pediatric rheumatology, infusion therapy, or care of children with complex conditions preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ambulatory care for pediatric rheumatology patients with interdisciplinary support.
• Support infusion center patients and therapies across multiple pediatric specialties.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, scheduling, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Complete clinical documentation, orders, and administrative duties per UVA Health standards.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and plans of care.
