Job summary

Vanderbilt Health’s Pediatric Hospital Medicine CARE Team seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to conduct independent pediatric examinations and consultations across inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings. The role requires acute care certification and pediatric expertise, with on-call duties and collaboration with attending physicians.

Qualifications

• APN with acute care certification and experience in pediatrics.
• Masters degree in nursing or equivalent.
• Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Tennessee or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide forensic medical examinations/consultations and generate reports for inpatient and outpatient consults.
• Provide 24/7 on-call coverage, including weekends.
• Respond to phone/email consultations with CPS and law enforcement.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings and provide expert testimony when required.
• Perform independent pediatric medical examinations and consultations in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Participate in training and education for healthcare partners and trainees.
