Position Summary

We seek a board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist (open rank) to join our team at UNC’s Children’s Hospital, with leadership opportunities available. Our hospital is ranked among the nation's best and is experiencing significant growth, including the development of a new free-standing Children’s Hospital.

The Department of Anesthesiology provides over 12,000 pediatric anesthetics annually, covering all subspecialties from outpatient to complex neonatal surgeries. We offer an accredited fellowship, a global health program, simulation training, and faculty development with mentorship. The environment promotes diversity, inclusiveness, and professional growth, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.

Minimum Education and Experience

MD, DO, or equivalent; completion of an ACGME-accredited residency and pediatric anesthesiology fellowship (by start date); ABA certification or eligibility; licensure in North Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in academic settings, teaching residents and fellows, collaborating with CRNAs and CAAs, and working across services.
