University of Colorado Anschutz in Colorado Springs seeks a Pediatric Anesthesiologist at Sr. Instructor rank for full-time clinical care with teaching duties. The primary site is Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) in Colorado Springs, CO, with a broad scope across pediatric subspecialties and regional anesthesia.

The role emphasizes bedside patient management, pre-/post-anesthesia orders, and contributions to medical student and fellow education. AC LS/PALS required; ATLS within a year.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in Colorado by hire date.
• Board-eligible or Diplomate of AB Anesthesiology or foreign training recognized.
• Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
• Board certification in pediatric anesthesiology desirable.
• Experience teaching Anesthesiology.

Responsibilities

• The attending pediatric anesthesiologist will provide anesthesia care 100% of the time in OR and related areas.
• Examine patients pre- and post-anesthesia; write orders and manage the anesthesia period.
• Participate in teaching medical students and fellows; contribute to departmental service.
• Onsite clinical duties at CHCO in Colorado Springs with occasional teaching responsibilities.
