Job summary

The University of Colorado Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology, has an opening for a full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist at the faculty rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Primary sites are Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) with the flagship on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.

The attending will supervise residents and CRNAs, participate in teaching, and provide anesthesia services across ORs, radiology, and outpatient

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Colorado.
• Board certification in pediatric anesthesiology is highly desirable and expected within 2 years of employment.
• Strong working and theoretical knowledge of Anesthesiology and Peri-operative Medicine.
• Completion of ACGME fellowship training in clinical pediatric anesthesiology.

Responsibilities

• Administers anesthesia care alone or supervises residents and CRNAs.
• Manages perioperative care in operating rooms and outpatient centers.
• Taught and mentored residents/fellows; contributes to departmental lectures and coursework.
• Contributes to scholarly activities and clinical or laboratory research.
