Job summary

Pediatric Specialists of Virginia in Fairfax, Virginia, is seeking an experienced Anesthesia Medical Technician to support our Outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Center. This full-time, day-shift position runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, totaling 40 hours weekly and offering competitive compensation.

You will operate and maintain anesthesia-related equipment, help with setup and sterilization, monitor equipment during procedures, and coordinate with vendors to ensure adequate supplies for each case

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years clinical experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• All employees must pass an employment TB, drug and physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage medical equipment used for testing and during procedures.
• Prepare patients and equipment for surgeries; assist in setup and cleaning.
• Monitor equipment during surgery and replenish stocks as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and manage sterile storage of implants and supplies.
• Record observations and monitor patient vital signs; report abnormalities to doctors.
• Ensure airway clearance and assist post-anesthesia care unit transfer.
