Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC seeks a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant to support pediatric anesthesia teams under licensed anesthesiologists. The role requires an MS in Anesthesia (ACAA Accredited) and current CME credits, with at least 1 year pediatric care experience preferred.

You will contribute to anesthesia delivery, patient monitoring, and intraoperative care within a collaborative hospital setting.

Qualifications

• M.S. in Anesthesia in an AANA/CAA accredited program (Required).
• 1 year pediatric care experience preferred.
• Current CME credits and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Collect preoperative data and perform physical examinations.
• Manage IV fluids and blood products as needed.
• Administer cardiovascular drugs as part of anesthesia care.
• Place venous, arterial, and other invasive catheters.
• Provide safe transition from OR to recovery and manage post-op pain.
