Inova Health is seeking a Pediatric Ambulatory Dietitian Clinical Specialist 1 for a full-time, day-shift role in Fairfax, VA. You will provide safe, evidence-based nutrition care to pediatric patients and education to families, coordinating with physicians and the healthcare team.

The role emphasizes developing patient education materials, tracking outcomes, and staying current with pediatric nutrition best practices within a leading health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree may be required for newer licensed dietitians.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) licensing to start; BLS within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Develops and revises patient education materials and evaluates effectiveness.
• Assesses educational needs of patients/families and provides nutrition education.
• Documents education in the medical record according to standards.
• Participates as a guest speaker at community events and conducts in-services.
• Develops an individualized plan for professional growth and development.
• Coordinates the nutrition care plan with physicians and other providers.
