Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis in Saint Louis, MO seeks a Research Coordinator to support a complex asthma and allergy clinical study.

You will coordinate activities across investigators, the sponsor, the community, and participants to ensure adherence to the protocol and regulatory requirements. Primary duties include enrolling participants, scheduling visits, performing pulmonary function tests, data entry, and assisting with manuscript preparation and grant amendments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Clinical Research experience (2 years) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Confer with PI to develop plans for research projects and discuss results; assist in manuscript preparation and grant amendments.
• Routinely manage all phases of study/protocol; ensure protocol compliance and maintain records; monitor adverse events and communicate with physicians as needed.
• Recruit and enroll participants; schedule visits; send surveys and home collection kits to participants.
• Perform pulmonary function tests per protocol and ATS guidelines; maintain lab equipment quality control and calibration.
• Obtain and maintain licenses and provide technical assistance on equipment use.
• Enter data from annual clinic visits; maintain participant binders; handle bio-specimen coding before deadlines.
