Job summary
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the 24/7 Emergency Department. The role involves comprehensive assessment, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing therapies, and contributing to education and research.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited school appropriate for certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Two years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
- Licensure in Illinois as an APRN/PA required.
- Basic Life Support certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support or other specialty certification required within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Provides expert clinical care, education, consultation and mentorship within the APP and medical teams.
- Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests and prescriptions.
- Contributes to research and evidence-based practice; participates in credentialing and privileges process.
- Works evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
