Job summary

Lurie Children’s in Chicago is seeking an Activity Coordinator PRN to develop and provide programs for patients and families across ambulatory and inpatient settings.

You will train volunteers, collaborate with hospital teams, and support family-centered care through developmentally appropriate activities and events.

This role emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and adaptability within a pediatric hospital environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and engaging family involvement.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of child and adolescent development as part of the role.
• Spanish language abilities strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Develops programs and services for patients and families across settings.
• Identifies needs and develops new programs with Volunteer Resources.
• Trains, supervises and provides feedback to volunteers.
• Leads group activities and events and maintains records.
• Collaborates with hospital teams to plan and evaluate programs.
