Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in child development or related field is required.
• 1 year of job-related experience working with children (or two years of college in related field) is required.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent growth and development; strong communication skills; ability to work in a hospital setting with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate and supervise group and spontaneous play for pediatric patients and siblings.
• Provide therapeutic play activities to promote normalization of the hospital environment.
• Organize monthly calendar of activities for play spaces and supervise play areas.
• Supervise and support volunteers in playrooms and bedside activities.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming play space and coordinate with care teams as needed.
