Job summary

Achieve Beyond in Brooklyn is seeking part-time, hourly Behavior Therapists to deliver direct ABA instruction in home, clinic or community settings. You will participate in team meetings with BCBA and therapists, communicate with families, and collect daily data on each child’s program.

Requirements include 2+ years with special needs children, and completion of Achieve Beyond’s 20-hour training and competency exam. Travel to assigned cases and strong patience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for working with children, families, and therapists.
• At least 2 years working with special needs children ages 2-21 in a supervised setting.
• Successful completion of Achieve Beyond’s 20 hour classroom training and passing competency exam.
• Experience using ABA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction according to the plan outlined by the BCBA.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings with BCBA and other therapists on the case.
• Communicate with families, provide debriefs and resources for home/community use.
• Collect daily data and organize child's program book weekly.
• Maintain confidentiality of information according to State and Federal regulations.
