Job description

Pedagogical Partnership Program Coordinator

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative student employee to support the Pedagogical Partnerships Program , a high-impact initiative that strengthens teaching and learning through student-faculty partnerships. This position focuses on the administrative coordination of the program, helping ensure a meaningful and well-supported experience for both faculty and student participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with faculty and student partners via email and other platforms
  • Track participant availability and maintain program schedules
  • Maintain organizational materials and assist with resource preparation
  • Provide logistical support for orientation, training, and feedback processes
  • Offer timely updates to the program lead and assist in documenting progress and participation

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled Oakland University student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • Communication and collaboration: Communicate clearly and professionally via email and other platforms; collaborate with faculty and student partners to gather and refine information; maintain confidentiality and approach conversations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Organization and project management: Coordinate schedules and facilitate communication among multiple people; track availability and timelines; manage time effectively; work independently on long-term projects while providing timely updates.
  • Writing and documentation: Strong writing and editing skills; demonstrated ability to synthesize information into structured documents (e.g., guides, handbooks, orientation/training materials).
  • Technical skills: Proficient with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar). Experience managing and editing LMS materials (Moodle, eSpace) is a plus.
  • Pedagogical grounding: Interest or experience in teaching and learning; familiarity with inclusive teaching frameworks and reflective tools aligned with the partnership’s mission/model; prior experience with the Pedagogical Partnerships Program is a plus.

Duration and Pay

  • Winter, Spring, and Summer Semester, with extension possibility
  • $17/hr, 6-10 hours per week
  • Hours are flexible and hybrid, and may fluctuate slightly depending on program activity levels
