Job summary

Valmet in North America is seeking a Project Manager to lead PEC projects across the region. You will act as the main liaison with customers and external partners, define project organization, and coordinate resources in a matrix environment to ensure on-time delivery.

You will manage budgets and schedules, monitor risks and opportunities, support technical proposals, and report progress to stakeholders. Travel is expected, and successful candidates will have a mechanical, electrical, chemical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Pulp and Paper Engineering or a closely related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven industry-related Project Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the main contact/liaison with the customer for the whole scope, including Valmet’s external partners.
• Establish and maintain a proactive customer relationship throughout project execution.
• Define the project organization and identify the need for resources in a matrix environment.
• Perform active project and product risk and opportunity management within the project.
• Responsible for project main schedule and coordination of schedules.
• Responsible for managing project budgets to secure and improve margins.
• Be a role model in the project teams regarding HSEQ matters.
• Handling of warranty issues during the contractual warranty period.
• Communicate project feedback internally and summarize lessons learned.
• Manage project stakeholders communications and reporting.
• Support sales on technical proposal development from the Project Management perspective.
