Peace 1 East - RN, Psych, Adult Detox, 7a-7p, FT

We are hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) at Peace Hospital - Adult Chemical Dependency Unit, 1 East, located at 2020 Newburg Rd., Louisville, KY 40205. This full-time position offers day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Position Overview: The RN will provide nursing care to patients of varying age groups, utilizing nursing process and standards. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, administering medications, planning and implementing care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient health status systematically from admission to discharge.
  • Administer and evaluate medications, ensuring safety and adherence to policies.
  • Develop and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
  • Implement nursing interventions to meet patient needs and evaluate outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families, ensuring understanding and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the care team, including delegation to unlicensed staff, to ensure safe, effective care.

Additional Duties: Demonstrate professional conduct, orient new staff, supervise students, participate in evidence-based practices, and maintain compliance with policies and standards.

Shift Details: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with flexibility depending on department needs. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications: UofL Health accepts Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) from NCSBN in lieu of Kentucky license. Entry-level seniority, full-time employment, and a focus on health care provision within hospital and health care industries.
