Job summary

DOWL is seeking a Transportation Design Engineer in Reno to help deliver transportation projects—from sidewalks to highways. You will perform design calculations, develop 2D/3D roadway designs, and support documentation, cost estimates, and client coordination with limited oversight.

You will bring CAD/BIM proficiency (AutoCAD C3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, Revit) and a strong work ethic, mentoring junior staff and contributing to high-profile projects within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• PE license required.
• 4 years of experience; 3 years with advanced degree.
• Driving is an essential job function.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical reports and memos.
• Prepare specifications and construction quantity calculations.
• Develop design documents and construction plans.
• Lead a small team on simple tasks; support larger projects.
• Coordinate with clients and attend meetings.
