Annunciation Catholic School in West Hollywood, Florida has an opening for a qualified Physical Education Teacher/ Athletic Director for the 2025-26 school year. The candidate will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for students in addition to all the school’s athletic program requirements for Grades K – 8. S/he performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.

Functions and Tasks:

• Develop and implement an engaging physical education curriculum for students in grades 6 through 8, aligning with state standards and the school's mission.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the existing system and league regulations; implement these consistently.
• Seek to be aware of all coaches’ meetings that require attendance.
• Maintain discipline and work to increase morale and cooperation within the school sports program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field required.
• Florida Department of Education Certification in Physical Education preferred.
• Two years of related experience; Experience as an Athletic Director is preferred.
• Ability to teach all levels of physical education.
• Effective managerial skills to serve as Athletic Director and guide athletic coaches.
• Effective collaboration with administration, teachers, parents, team coaches and students.
• Strong instructional strategies.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with iPad Applications and other online educational applications with a willingness to work with such technology.
• Excellent oral and written English; effective communication skills.
• Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church.
