Job summary

Miamiarch is seeking a qualified Physical Education Teacher for St. Louis Catholic Covenant School for the 26-27 school year. The teacher will plan and implement an instructional program in Physical Education, supporting the Athletic program and aligning with the mission of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Qualifications include a BS/BA in Education, Florida Physical Education K-12 certification, and experience in a Catholic environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida Department of Education Physical Education K-12 professional certification or be eligible for certification.
• Experience in teaching PE is preferred.

St. Louis Covenant School in Pinecrest, Florida has an opening for a qualified Physical Education Teacher for the 26‑27 school year. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Physical Education students, in addition to supporting the Athletic program. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary is commensurate with certification and years of experience.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in Education, Physical Education, or related field required.
• Must hold Florida Department of Education Physical Education K-12 professional certification or be eligible for certification.
• Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three years of hire.
• Experience in teaching PE is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written English‑language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar are required.
• Strong presentation skills with use of innovative instructional technologies.
• Proficiency with interactive boards, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
• Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
• Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
