Job summary

Superior Rigging & Erecting is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer (PE) to support crane lifts, structural steel erection, and specialty construction projects in the Southeast. The role involves direct collaboration with Operations, PM, Safety, and Leadership to develop practical, field-ready solutions.

You'll mentor junior engineers, influence engineering standards, and help shape the Engineering & Technical Services function as it grows. Travel throughout the Southeast is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural/mechanical engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license; Georgia PE preferred or eligible via reciprocity.
• Experience supporting structural, industrial, construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong structural analysis, engineering judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineered lift plans, structural calculations, and technical solutions.
• Perform structural analysis for temporary works and lifting systems.
• Evaluate crane configurations, ground bearing pressures, and sequencing.
• Conduct project site visits to assess constructability and risks.
• Support lifts, steel erection, machinery installations, and specialty construction.
