About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) for our client, an established architecture and engineering firm based in Rochester, NY. This role is ideal for a licensed PE with strong building systems experience, who excels in design leadership, mentoring, and collaboration. You will contribute to designing electrical systems for new and renovated buildings across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and specialty electrical systems for buildings
2. Lead and review work of junior engineers, designers, and technicians
3. Develop project schedules and assist with workload planning
4. Edit project specifications to meet technical and code requirements
5. Deliver high-quality work independently with minimal oversight

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in designing building electrical systems
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related ABET-accredited field
• FE exam completed; PE license in NYS preferred or eligible within one year
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), circuit theory, and power distribution systems
• Valid NYS driver's license and ability to travel within the state as needed
