Mobis Alabama LLC is seeking a PE Procurement Manager responsible for sourcing and selecting suppliers, negotiating part pricing, and coordinating supplier activities across die casting, machining, and assembly for Power Electric Motors, Reducers, Inverters, and ICCUs. The role reports to MOBIS Corporate Center America in assisting hiring progress.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in procurement within E-powertrain manufacturing or automotive sectors, with GD&T knowledge and ERP SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Manager experience (7+ years).
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• Equivalent experience/education: 5–10+ years in procurement within automotive/e-powertrain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal/external customers to ensure on-time results.
• Review RFQs, LOIs, terms and conditions; develop documentation per Mobis policy.
• Review supplier requirements, release quotations, and perform quotation analysis.
• Perform part characteristic and risk analyses; create procurement policies.
• Research and secure potential suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis for parts and tooling; negotiate prices with suppliers.
• Create detailed price breakdown by material, labor, and burden; analyze costs.
• Negotiate supply agreements and cost models; update pricing and lead times.
• Promote safety in the workplace and comply with policies.
• All other duties as assigned.

Overview

The PE Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing and selecting potential suppliers, approving new item suppliers, negotiating part pricing, and coordinating all supplier-related activities. This role oversees die casting operations-covering aluminum casting, machining, and assembly-while managing sub-parts cost, monitoring supplier performance, and supporting procurement functions for key PE components including Power Electric Motors, Reducers, Inverters, and ICCUs. MOBIS Corporate Center America will be aiding in the hiring progress for this job position.

Responsibilities

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, as well as internal and external customers including Sales Managers, to ensure on-time results.
• Review legal documentation such as Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Letters of Intent (LOIs), terms and conditions, and develop documentation according to Mobis policy.
• Review supplier requirements, release quotations, and perform quotation analysis.
• Perform part characteristic analysis and risk analysis, and create Procurement policies.
• Research and secure potential suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis for parts, tooling, and other supplier expenses; negotiate prices with suppliers.
• Create detailed price breakdown for each product by analyzing the piece price and breaking the price down into its categories (e.g. material, labor and burden, etc.).
• Negotiate supply agreements and cost models with key suppliers, ensure pricing and lead time information is updated.
• Comply with and promote safety in the workplace
• All other duties as assigned.

This role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escape matters as required

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

• Manager experience (7+ years)
• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering/Supply Chain Management Degree
• Equivalent Experience / Education: 10+/7+/5+ years of experience in procurement role within E-powertrain manufacturing/automotive industry

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Requires understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and proficiency in drawing interpretation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Ability to speak and write fluently in both Korean and English
• Experience in automotive manufacturing environment
• Experience in Die-casting, Lamination press, Forging, PCB assembly process.
• Ability to understand 2D/3D drawings and knowledge of design tools
• Experience ins using ERP system (SAP).

• Office setting, some walking and standing within and between buildings.
• Overtime as needed.
• Frequent travel with possible overnight or extended stays.
