Job summary

ABNA, located in Burr Ridge, Illinois, seeks a Resident Engineer with a PE for on-site management of road, rail, and aviation projects. You will oversee inspection and construction staff, ensure schedule adherence and budget conformity, and coordinate with multiple agencies including IDOT and the Tollway.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience on large public infrastructure projects in an oversight capacity.
• PE Illinois certifications required.
• Experience with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, City of Chicago and other Chicago area municipalities.
• Familiarity with IL DOT policies and highway construction field work.
• 30 Hour OSHA safety course.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction inspection and management staff on various projects.
• Prepare inspection reports and monitor progress against schedule.
• Review change order requests and communication with Contractor and Client.
• Maintain project documentation and logs; respond to RFIs and submittals.
• Monitor budgets and schedules; issue field orders and manage payment applications.
