Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer – Design and Development in our Raleigh, NC office. This role supports design and development of mechanical systems, coordinating with owners, facilities managers, project managers, and engineers to ensure project success.

The candidate will perform equipment specifications, drawings, and commissioning planning while contributing to project submittals and reviews. A PE license is required and drug testing/background checks apply.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and basic principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• On path to EI certification.

Responsibilities

• Determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet customer facility requirements.
• Develop relationships with customers to facilitate design and operational success.
• Survey and appraise building systems (HVAC/BAS) for value opportunities.
• Prepare equipment specs and construction documents with accurate quantities and configurations.
• Manage submittal reviews to protect project scope and schedule.
• Provide on-site engineering support to meet design intent and milestones.
• Coordinate engineering tasks and prepare detailed engineering reports.
