Job summary

Thermon seeks a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with a PE license to join the engineering team in Morristown, TN. You will design, analyze, and certify pressure vessels and piping in compliance with ASME BPVC and related codes, collaborating with sales, manufacturing, and project teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience, strong knowledge of materials and fabrication, and proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, PV Elite, and related CAD/CAE tools.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in Tennessee or ability to obtain quickly.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on ASME code applications.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical background (Master's preferred).
• Strong understanding of materials, welding, and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical systems and components per ASME BPVC and ASME B31 piping codes.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Lead or support pressure vessel and piping design projects from concept through fabrication and inspection.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project management.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
