Job summary

Advocates Legal Recruiting represents an AmLaw 100 client seeking a mid-level Private Equity Debt Finance Associate for a Washington, DC–area role. The position focuses on sponsor-side and lender-side leveraged finance work tied to buyouts, acquisition financings, and growth facilities.

You will represent private equity sponsors and banks on term and revolving facilities, draft and negotiate credit agreements and collateral documents, and run key deal workstreams through signing and closing.

Qualifications

• Mid-level associate with leveraged finance reps (LBO, acquisition finance, growth facilities).
• Strong drafting in credit docs and comfort negotiating directly with counterparties.
• Bar admission (or ability to obtain promptly) required.

Responsibilities

• Represent private equity sponsors and/or banks on term and revolving facilities
• Draft and negotiate commitment papers, credit agreements, and collateral documentation
• Run key deal workstreams and coordinate with corporate and sponsor teams through signing and closing
