Job summary

Thompson & Litton is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer, PE to join our Princeton or Charleston, West Virginia offices. The role offers an opportunity to lead projects from concept through construction as part of a 100% ESOP team.

You will design water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies to deliver high-quality projects across West Virginia, Virginia, and Tennessee.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering.
• PE license in West Virginia or immediate reciprocity upon hire.
• Four or more years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design water distribution, sanitary sewer systems, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
• Lead municipal infrastructure, utilities, and site development projects.
• Prepare grading plans, stormwater designs, and hydraulic/hydrologic analyses.
• Develop engineering reports, specifications, proposals, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies including WVDEP.
