Job summary

Thompson & Litton is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer, PE to join our Princeton or Charleston, West Virginia team. You will lead projects from concept through construction and collaborate directly with clients in an employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in West Virginia, or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity immediately upon hire.
• Four or more years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design water distribution and wastewater infrastructure, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
• Lead municipal infrastructure, utility, and site development projects.
• Prepare grading plans, stormwater management designs, and hydraulic analyses.
• Develop engineering reports, specifications, proposals, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies such as WVDEP.
• Mentor Engineers-in-Training and design technicians; support project delivery.
