Job summary

Everman ISD is seeking an instructional aide to support teachers with classroom activities and administrative tasks in Fort Worth, TX. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas educational aide certificate. One year of experience with children is preferred.

The aide will prepare instructional materials, assist with testing, supervise students across the school day, and help maintain records and reports under the teacher's supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests.
• Maintain neat and orderly classroom.

• Keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Conduct instructional exercises with students or small groups.
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and play areas.
• Inform teacher of any special needs or problems.
• Participate in staff development and faculty activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and be punctual.
• Be a positive role model for students.

Job description

Primary Purpose

Major Responsibilities And Duties

Instructional Support

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.

Student Management

• Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
• Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
• Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.

Other

• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
• Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Be punctual in all areas.
• Be a positive role model for all students.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
