Job summary

Kaufman Independent School District is seeking an instructional aide to assist in preparing materials, supporting classroom activities, and handling administrative tasks under a certified teacher.

You will supervise students during the day, help with testing, and support staff during staff development and events. A high school diploma or GED and a Texas educational aide certificate are required.

Responsibilities

• Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Conduct instructional exercises with students or small groups.
• Supervise students during the school day including lunchroom, bus, and playground.
• Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings.

Job description

Student Management

• Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
• Supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
• Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.

Other

• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
• Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.

Working Conditions

Education/Certification

Starting hourly rate: $13.00 per hour
