Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a senior communications leader to design and implement corporate and executive communications for Plasma-derived therapies, enhancing reputation internally and externally. The hybrid role requires consistent weekly onsite presence in Cambridge, MA; fully remote work is not available.

You will lead a global corporate communications plan, shape thought leadership activations, and collaborate with senior executives to elevate PDT visibility across media and investor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Communications/English required or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of communications experience, life sciences preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal storytelling with clear, persuasive communication.

About the role

Design and implement corporate and executive communications strategies for Plasma-derived therapies (PDT) to promote the PDT vision and enhance reputation internally and externally.

Hybrid role: consistent weekly onsite attendance in Cambridge, Massachusetts; fully remote not available.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development and execution of a global corporate communication plan for PDT.
  • Create and manage PDT thought leadership activations aligned with comms, Public Affairs, and Patient Advocacy.
  • Build and maintain an executive engagement plan/calendar (speaking, digital, media) to elevate visibility.
  • Partner with the PDT President to develop strategic communication programming and thought leadership reputation.
  • Oversee narrative creation for social media, corporate websites, investor forums, and traditional media; support cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with Global Corporate Communications and Governance and stakeholders to ensure integrated storytelling and digital engagement.
  • Manage media and speaker training for PDT Leadership Team.
  • Support emerging issues communication strategies with Public Affairs and partners.
  • Measure communication effectiveness and improve audience engagement.
  • Oversee external vendor relationships.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s (Journalism/Communications/English preferred).
  • 10+ years communications experience (life sciences preferred).
  • Strong written/verbal and interpersonal communication; clear, persuasive storytelling.
  • Experience with healthcare/bio-pharma; social media preferred.
  • Able to work with senior executives; attention to detail; manage multiple projects.
