Job summary

Jayco Inc in Indiana is seeking a Quality Auditor to perform audits of towable products, ensuring compliance with RVIA codes and Jayco standards, and confirming fit, finish, and full system functionality.

You will work closely with production and engineering, provide guidance to manufacturing to eliminate defects, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and quality-driven production environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interface with production and engineering to communicate quality feedback and drive improvements.
• Support manufacturing in correcting processes to eliminate defects.

Job description

Purpose: This position exists to eliminate quality defects by performing audits of all Jayco towable products to ensure products satisfy company quality standards/objectives and industry codes and standards.

Essential Functions:

• Audits completed on towable products through planned and random inspections to ensure:
  • Conformance to basic RVIA code requirements,
  • Conformance to approved Jayco standards and procedures,
  • Acceptable fit and finish,
  • General quality and appearance,
  • General completeness of units,
  • Full system and functionality of units.
• Interfaces regularly with production and engineering personnel to communicate quality feedback.
• Provides support and offers guidance to manufacturing to assist in correcting processes to eliminate defects.

Required Experience / Knowledge:

• Class B CDL
• Familiarity with RV manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Knowledgeable in testing procedures and processes.
• Thorough understanding of quality assurance techniques.
• 3-5 years of related experience.

Work Requirements:

• This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, crouching or crawling up to 90% of the day and occasionally sitting in front of a computer monitor.
• This position requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and to reach with the hands and arms. Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• This position is in a manufacturing environment where there may be fluctuations in temperature and humidity.
• Regular attendance is required.
• This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours and days worked.
