We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Product Development/Production Assistant to support our fashion product development and production teams. This role is ideal for someone passionate about fashion and eager to learn the end-to-end process of bringing a garment from concept to consumer. This role will also oversee managing all product samples throughout the development and production cycle. This role acts as a key liaison between design, production, PR, sales, and external vendors to ensure timely tracking, distribution, and return of all fashion samples.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development Support:

• Assist in creating and maintaining tech packs and BOMs (Bill of Materials)
• Track and organize development samples, fabrics, trims, and approvals
• Coordinate with design, merchandising, and technical teams to ensure accurate sample execution
• Attend fittings and take detailed notes for revisions

Production Support:

• Help monitor production calendars to ensure key deadlines are met
• Assist with vendor communication and follow up on sample status and production progress
• Support QC inspections, track PO placements, and maintain WIP (work in progress) reports
• Organize shipments of samples and bulk production between factories and HQ

Administrative Support:

• Update internal systems with current product status and changes
• Assist in preparing internal and external line sheets
• Track, receive, catalog, and organize incoming and outgoing samples for various departments (design, marketing, PR, etc.)
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sample inventory using internal tracking systems.
• Arrange for sample shipments, including domestic and international deliveries. Ensure timely arrival and handle customs documentation when necessary.
• Align with key seasonal calendars and ensure samples are delivered on time for photoshoots, line reviews, trade shows, and press events.
• Work closely with product development, design, marketing, and PR teams to fulfill sample needs.
• Oversee the return of samples to vendors or organize proper archiving and storage.
• Generate regular sample status reports to keep all stakeholders updated.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
• 1+ year of relevant internship or entry-level experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and PLM systems is a plus
• Effective communication and time-management skills
• Passion for fashion and an eagerness to learn
• Experience with tech packs a plus

Salary Disclosure:

Majesty Brands is committed to offering a compensation package that reflects the qualifications and experience of the individual. The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. While the posted salary range is $50,000 – $65,000, we recognize the value of exceptional talent and are open to negotiation for the right candidate.
